Spiritual Activities at the Ashram
The spiritual activities define the typical day in the Ashram.
At dawn, the auspicious 'bhrama muhurtham', the Sisters come together for a 'Suprabatham' (morning prayer service) at the Shrine. The Shrine is adorned by the images of Shri Ramakrishna Paramahamsa, SriMa Sarada Devi and Swami Vivekananda. This morning service is followed by meditation and prayers.

Pooja is held in the Shrine in the morning and evening, during which the students of the Gurukulam join in chanting and singing bhajans.

Meditation, Prayer and Bhajans are part of the daily routine at the Ashram
The students also worship Lord Ganesha at the Vara Siddhi Vinayaga Temple. This temple has students performing pooja in turns and managing the complete maintenance of the temple, including a nandavanam - of its own with flowering plants.
Collective Prayers

Students Offering Prayers

Perhaps one of the many unique practices is the collective prayers offered by the Sisters in the morning. The Ashram conducts regular collective prayers for the welfare of individuals, society and the universe. Many devotees request the Ashram to offer prayers on their behalf in times of need.
The Students of the Gurukulam also participate in some of these prayers sessions thereby imbibing faith in the power of prayer.
Special Pooja
