Sources of Samskaras

The Holy Mother Sri Sarada Devi

Man is endowed with physical, mental and spiritual power. Samskaras obtained from time to time enable him to be aware of these powers. He uses these powers in order to develop a well integrated personality. The child starts getting education through samskaras. "Samskara" is a sublimating, ennobling process which removes ignorance. The Gurukulam has designed many simple and small practices that create good samskaras for the students. Some of them are:

Patriotism

Observance of all National days, celebrating the Birthdays of National Heroes and Freedom Fighters to inculcate patriotism in the students.

Physical Development

Yogasana, Surya Namaskar and other physical exercises and games provide the students with the knowledge and skills to develop their physical fitness and the discpline to practice it for the rest of their lives. The Gurukulam also has a well equipped gymnasium.
