Swami Vivekananda

The vibrant and colourful fabric of rural Indian society is torn and lustreless due to the repeated assaults on it; the character and integrity of the individual and bonding in the society has weakened. The Ashram and the Sisters are re-building this fabric to its rightful grandeur.

The strengthening of the individual through skill enhancement and building a strong society through cultural revival are the twin aims of the Ashram.

'Atmano Mokshartam Jagat Hitayacha' - "God realisation through service to the God in Man" was the ideal given by Swami Vivekananda. In each of the activities of the Ashram, this ideal of Swami Vivekananda is put into practice.
The education system is designed on the principles of 'man making' and 'character building' education as proposed by Vivekananda.
In the service of the economically weaker sections of the villages, emphasis is placed on the cultural revival and strengthening of the village society.
Through its research and practice in agriculture, the Ashram aims to revive sustainable traditional agricultural practice.

All these activities done with an attitude of Seva and powered by the Tapas and prayers of the Sisters defines the Ashram.

Seva- service as an offering at the feet of the Lord
